Vehicle registration tax and export refund: Exporting cars to Spain and France
It is possible to get the vehicle registration tax back If you export your car out of Denmark to Spain or France. SKAT calls it export refund. But only when your car is exported out of Denmark and deregistered from the Danish Register of Motor Vehicles. In order to receive export refund, it is required that the vehicle registration tax previously has been paid on the car. In other words, that it is or has been registered in Denmark.
